Privacy Policy
NurseSavvy (“we”, “us”) operates nursesavvy.com. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. When you upload study guides, we process the document to extract topics for question matching — we do not share your uploaded documents with other users or third parties. When you use the platform, we collect practice session data (answers, scores, timing) to power adaptive learning features.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling.
How We Use Your Data
To provide and improve the NCLEX prep service, to personalize your study experience through adaptive algorithms, and to communicate account-related information.
Data Security
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage with row-level security policies. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Connected AI Apps (the NurseSavvy Connector)
You can connect your NurseSavvy account to an AI assistant such as Claude, so it can tutor you on the material you have missed and run practice sessions with you in conversation. Connecting is entirely optional, free on every plan, and off unless you explicitly authorize it on our consent screen.
What a connected app can read. Your study progress and readiness stage, your weakest topics, your past practice sessions and their scores, the NurseSavvy topic list, and the full text and rationale of questions you have already answered. It cannot browse, search, or export our question bank, and it cannot see the answer or rationale for a question you have not attempted.
What a connected app can write. It can start practice sessions and create study plans in your account, and the answers you give it are recorded as real attempts — they count toward your mastery, XP, and readiness score exactly as if you had answered in the app. NurseSavvy always chooses which questions a session contains; the AI only says how many and on what topics.
What passes through the AI provider. Question text, your answers, and rationales are sent to whichever AI app you connected, and are handled under that provider's privacy policy once they leave us. Do not connect an app you would not want to see your study history.
What we record about connector use. For each request we log your user id, which app made it, the tool name, a one-way hash of its parameters (never the parameters themselves), the timestamp, how long it took, and the response size. We use this for security auditing, to enforce usage limits, and to measure whether connected students study more. We retain it for 24 months. We do not collect your conversation history, your files, or anything the connector's tools do not need.
Answer quality flags. Answers submitted through an AI app that look like non-engagement — for example, answered faster than anyone could read the question — are stored in your own record but excluded from the statistics we use to calibrate question difficulty.
How to revoke access. Open Settings and choose Disconnect under Connected apps. Revoking immediately invalidates that app's access; it keeps the practice history already recorded, exactly like work you did in the app. You can also email us to have a connection removed.
Data Retention
You can delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at david@nursesavvy.com.
